nnenn

I’m sure you’ve all heard the news by now. The LEGO community has lost one of it’s best. You can find a quote from me about nnenn on The Brothers Brick. Keith Goldman told me “I want to give him the best Viking funeral I can” and they sure are doing a awesome job of it.

I don’t know what else to add to what has already been said across the net. So check out his gallery again, listen to the interview, and enjoy the coverage on The Brothers Brick.

While Waiting for the Next Podcast

I’ve got two new interviews lined up for the show with a couple of guests who are doing stuff with the brick we haven’t really covered before. But while I wait for those to finish sorting themselves out, I thought I would post my latest personal project which was finished last week.

A couple years ago when the first Clone Wars trailer leaked, I attempted to recreate that trailer in LEGO. I got half way done, then gave up. Since then I’ve been learning the ins and outs of Blender by working on other projects, trying to become the best at that program as I can be.

Two weeks ago I decided I needed to render something to see how much I’ve learned. This old project was the perfect vehicle to test with. And here is the result.

A Few Notes About LAML

After a bit of silence, here are a few quick notes about this site for the diehards who have stuck around (thanks guys!):

-Interviews are back! (see post above)
-Interviews are staying back!
-LAMLtv is being revived temporarily (expect more lame humour and recycled material goodness)
-Has anyone seen Aaron?

LAMLradio #95 – MOCs of 2009 (3 weeks late!)

We are back! And beyond that, we’re three weeks late for our “Year in Review” show. Yes, this is the LAMLradio you know (and likely loath)! I’m joined by Aaron Andrews to take a look back at some of the best MOCs of 2009. You won’t be happy with our picks, but you might enjoy them.

Year in Review Coming Soon

As its been almost two months since our last show, I thought now a good time to give a quick update on what you can expect very soon from the podcast. I’m working on putting together a “MOCs of the Year” podcast to run down the best of this past year. Not unlike what we did last year.

The difference this time around is I will be inviting notable guests on from each theme instead of relying solely on our opinions. Hopefully this will address some of the complaints from last year’s show.

If you’ve got any MOCs you feel are worthy, feel free to post in the comments section.

LAMLradio #94 – The Problem Is… Star Wars

In episode #94 of LAMLradio Aaron lets James in on the secret of what his problem really is… Star Wars.

We are also joined by Jonathan Bender, author of the newly titled book LEGO: A Love Story, to discuss everything from what the world would look like after the apocalypse to how to best camp out for the upcoming LEGO movie. James also sits down with John from Brickspace.org for a chat about the blog’s first year on the net.

Should we care what LEGO does outside of the brick and even with the brick?

On a side note, this will be last news centric show for sometime. We’re going to spend more time on interviews in future shows.

Last Week We Promised A New Show…

…and surprisingly we did record it last week. Not surprisingly, its been sitting on my hard drive since it was recorded. The reason you ask?

I’ve been “building” again. The episode will be up soon.

LAMLradio #92 – BrickCon 2009 and Anthony Sava
