The People Who Make It Happen…

LAML Radio is a team effort lead by Rob Deakin with the help of a fantastic global team of AFOLs

– Rob Deakin. Rob is the “manager”  of LAML radio . Rob started playing with the brick in the seventies and has never stopped.  He is well know to AFoLs around the world. As well as running LAML radio he has a niche business  supplying printed LEGO bricks to professional builders and LEGO convention (Brickink.org), is one of the organisers of Brickvention; Australia’s Premier LEGO fan event (brickventures.org.au),  and he is the spokesman for ASD Aid the international advocacy group foundation that increases awareness and understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders and the benefits of LEGO play – esp for kids. Rob’s likes starwars, mecha, large scale building, organics and some niche themes (esp. Sponge Bob). Rob’s favorite brick colour is Tan.

- James Wadsworth. James  has been the main host of LAML Radio for years. He the started playing with Duplo as a toddler and moved into LEGO. In 2002 he found a LEGO Star Wars site called “Building Empires” which pushed him  towards Brickshelf and the rest of the LEGO community. James started hosting LAML radio way back in 2005.  He lives in Canada near Toronto. The image “http://www.majhost.com/gallery/jamit/forum/Podcast/icons/flickr_orbs_48.png” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. The image “http://www.majhost.com/gallery/jamit/forum/Podcast/icons/twitter_48.png” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

- Matt Clarkson. Matt is new to the team, joining the LAML team in August 2011. Matt has recently emerged from his “Dark Ages“  ( a time without the Brick) and provides the show with the view point of a “Renaissance Man” - some one rediscovering their love of LEGO.  He likes micro-scale, military and historic themes and his favorite brick  colour is yellow. Mat lives in Melbourne, Australia.

Behind the scenes Tuomas “TheQ” Kukkamaa is the webmaster behind LAML. Without Q, LAML would have died long before the podcast could take shape.

We’ve also been helped out with great tips and advice from Jacob and John Langrish amongst others. Steven Ferriolo helped set up some of the images you see on the site. The show would also be impossible to do without all the guests who have come on in the past and in the future.
