But while I wait for those to finish sorting themselves out, I thought I would post my latest personal project which was finished last week.

A couple years ago when the first Clone Wars trailer leaked, I attempted to recreate that trailer in LEGO. I got half way done, then gave up. Since then I’ve been learning the ins and outs of Blender by working on other projects, trying to become the best at that program as I can be.

Two weeks ago I decided I needed to render something to see how much I’ve learned. This old project was the perfect vehicle to test with. And here is the result.

Throughout the tutorial, the program Adobe Photoshop was mentioned. Photoshop is a very powerful and expensive program, but there are free alternatives for anyone who would prefer to spend that money one LEGO. Gimp is a powerful editor that might take a little bit of time to learn while Paint.net is a lightweight alternative that is easy to use but limited. Both programs can edit layers.

Today I created an animation with a LEGO X-Wing. I don’t want to consider this part of LAMLtv, but I would like to share this on the blog. This was done in Blender and the LDRAW model was done by chrispedersen22.
